To set up your Google pixel integration in the Upstackified Shopify App, you’ll first need to access you Google Analytics 4 measurement ID and your Google Analytics 4 API Key. To set up your Google pixel integration, follow these steps.
Log in to your Google Analytics account.
Click on the "Admin" button in the lower-left corner of the page.
In the "Property" column, click on the dropdown menu and select "Create Property".
Select "Google Analytics 4" as the property type and click "Continue".
Enter a name for your new property and select the appropriate industry category and reporting time zone.
Click "Create" to create the new property.
Once the property is created, you will be redirected to the property's "Data Streams" page. Here you will see your Measurement ID, which is a string of numbers and letters that begins with "G-". You can also find the Measurement ID under the "Admin" menu by selecting "Data Streams" and clicking on the name of your data stream.
Next you will need to access your Google Analytics 4 API Key. Follow these Steps:
Click on the "Admin" button in the lower-left corner of the page.
In the "Property" column, click on the dropdown menu and select "Create Property".
Select "Web" as the property type and click "Continue".
Enter a name for your new property, specify the website URL, and select the appropriate industry category and reporting time zone.
Click "Create" to create the new property.
Once the property is created, click on the "Admin" button again.
Click on the "Create Project" button in the "Google Cloud Platform" section.
Follow the prompts to set up a new project in the Google Cloud Platform console. If you already have a project set up, you can skip this step.
Once you have created or selected a project, click "Link".
On the "Link Configuration" page, make sure the "Google Analytics API" is selected.
Under "Create Credentials", select "API key".
Click "Continue" and follow the prompts to create your API key.
Once you have created your API key, you can use it to authenticate your API requests using the appropriate API client library or by manually creating and sending the requests.
After you accessed or set up your GA4 API key and measurement ID, log in to your Upstackified dashboard.
On your Upstackified dashboard, click on “ +Add Destination “ in the right hand corner of your browser window.
b. In the “ Select a Destination ” popup window, click on “ Google Analytics 4 “
c. In the “ Google Analytics 4 Measurement ID“ section, add your pixel ID number.
d. In the “ Your Google Analytics 4 API Key “ section, add your GA4 API key.
e. Be sure to check the box “ Enable GA4 Server API * “ to enable your GA4 pixel integration.
f. Click “ Create Configuration “ and your setup is complete.
